Social media outlets like YouTube, Twitter and Facebook are transforming life all around us — from how we socialize with people, to how we engage with fashion brands and companies. Everyone seems to be participating in tweeting, blogging, and posting messages so an introduction to the world of social media seems an appropriate way to help our talented fashion entrepreneurs become acquainted with these important marketing tools. If you’re interested in learning more, TFI’s Intro to Social Media guidebook is available at www.fashionincubator.com.

I am planning to start an online business targeted for US market. I want my shop to join as many shopping malls as possible. I know Google and Yahoo product search and need to find any other popular shopping malls in America. I really appreciate your advice.
The best online shopping is going to be at Ebay, Yahoo! auctions, MSN auctions, and Amazon. All of these accept Paypal as well as Google Check Out.
Also, if you go to mallofamerica.com, many of the stores there take online orders. Good luck.
I have a job interview next week at a college, and need to prepare for a presentation. (ten mins). Marketing / PR Officer.
The task is to explain how "I would use social media to raise the profile of the college, and attract / recruit new students".
I don’t know tonnes about social media…. Maybe someone is out there in the UK or wherever who can give me a heads up on this or marketing.
Thanks.
You should not only set up MySpace and Face Book accounts, but also a Twitter account where you’ll be able to send immediate information to current or new students. You’ll be able to tweet your registration "Call to Action" page via Bit.Ly. Using a Bit.Ly will help you to track the number of clicks and re-tweets if you sign up for an account with them.
Friend Finder is much like Twitter. You should also use LinkedIn and create an Alumni group for the school and also a recruitment group and link the two together so your Alumni and prospects can inter-connect. E-mail is also a good thing, but could be too time consuming and might appear "spammy".
Also, ask a few businesses on Twitter (click the link in the bio) and see how They use social media for their businesses.
