PLEASE HELP! Does anyone know any LEGITIMATE work at home businessess that don’t require a start up fee?

I am 21 years old, having a baby in 1 week, and need to make some income. I want to be able to work from home to spend time with my baby, and not have to put her in a daycare or depend on others. Please help if you know any LEGITIMATE businesses.

Congrats on the new baby!!!
If your going to start a business, rather it’s from home or a traditional store front business, your going to have start up costs and some investments to pay. That’s just how it is. You will NOT be able to start a business without some type of investment.
The income opportunity is incredible in home based business. You just need to find one that you’d enjoy getting involved in and one that has a great compensation plan. Most home based business cost under $500. Some cost more depending on what it is you want to do.
I don’t know what you like to do, so I can only tell you what my husband and I started over six years ago and point you out to some others to take a look at. Ours well supports our family of six. We have four children ages 10, 6, 3 and 1. It is also becoming a major funding source for non-profit organizations.
We got involved in the telecommunications industry with a world wide company that’s over 15 years old. We’ve been featured in several magazines Inc 500 rated us the 22nd fastest growing company. They offer services that people use every day and pay for anyway, but now they can have a lower cost. Services such as local and long distance phones, Internet, digital phones, video phones (you can see the person your taking to live)VOIP, Satellite TV, and all the major cellular phone companies like Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Alltell, Nextell etc. have partnered up with them too.
How many people do you know, or know of, that uses one or more of these services? How would you feel if you could save people money on services that they’re already using? Every time they pay their bills each month, you make a percentage off these bills every single month. Huge income opportunity. It’s incredible how much money is involved in this industry.

I also created a blog on my 360 page on home based business’s. There’s over half a dozen different ones to take a look at. Your more then welcome to browse through them for some ideas.

Now if you don’t want to invest into starting a home business, your only other option for what you want to do is to get a home "job". However, a home based "job" is not going to bring you a sufficient amount of income. You will only be paid minimum wage. Most companies don’t feel they need to pay anyone more then that because their gas cost is eliminated. What people don’t realize, Grocery shopping, outings, and things like that are still going to cost gas. If your married and you have a minimum waged job, pretty much your entire pay check will be going to your spouse’s gas tank with the gas prices these days. Then you still have the normal bills you need to pay each month as well, food, utilities, mortgage (rent for most people). Think about how much money you spend in that alone? If you need more income, I don’t see how a minimum wage home "job" is going to cut it then.
If you really want to work from home, and want to make a sufficient amount of income, then I suggest you start your own home based business

I admire you for wanting to stay at home with your baby. First, have you thought of how much money you need? That is the first step. Maybe you wouldn’t have to work at all. With an at home business and a new baby, you will be busy. Don’t jump in to anything, pray on it. If you have something like a car note that you could get rid of-do it. I have 3 kids and have tried a little of everything. The internet does require a lot of time that could take you away from your family. I work out of the home a few hrs a week. That way when I am at home, I can focus on my family. I am a nurse and a Southern Living At Home Consultant. Any business that is steady should have some start up fees. Don’t miss the most precious years of your baby being consumed with trying to find something to do at home. I regret doing that when the answer was as plain as could be. Pray on it. It will work out.

    1. WelI I actually take surveys for cash. And yes they do pay as long as you know the good ones. I have some free survey sites that are very reliable just check out my profile by clicking my name or email me for them. I only give sites that I’ve been paid by so you won’t get scammed. They’re all reliable and I’ve never had a problem with them. (I’ve been doing them for a year now) The best part is that anyone can do them and they’re easy. You won’t get rich but they definitely help with bills :)

    2. Btw a lot of the ones above are spammers and I wouldn’t trust them

I have joined an at home online business that is free and open to people worldwide. It is also registered with the Better Business Bureau. It’s not a get rich scheme either. I don’t want to break any of the yahoo rules by posting it, so anybody that wants the website, feel free to contact me and you can check it out for yourself.

If I were to wager a guess at why, I’d say that users don’t “browse” forms. The interaction style users engage in with forms is different, and requires its own study and design best practices.
