Most of the students I knew when I was in college, were riding their parents' credit cards, they don't know what an economy is. They do, however know what a party is.

Because they don't yet have to pay for mortgages, health care, kid's education, and are not having to worry about taxes like the adults out in the real world.

A vast majority of them depend on someone else (daddy and mommy come to mind) for their major expenses, don’t have full time jobs if they’re helping to defray the cost of college, and are single with no dependents.

It’s easy to be idealistic and worry about issues that don’t impact you directly when you’re not having to pay the bills every month.

Because they are students and not active in the "real world" yet. When I was in college I was very socially aware, but had no clue what a 401k, mutual fund, or mortgage was all about.

They haven't had to live the economic issues yet. Their life experience doesn't extend to making a living, supporting a family, being responsible for others.

Well, just as speculation, job outlook would generally be relevant only to those about to leave college. On the other hand, college is often a person's first foray on their own, away from parents. So, social issues are more immediately relevant to most college students than job outlook.

because colleges have become good brainwashing tools for the left…thats why many aren’t educated about how life is…but how life should be…ignoring the reality of life becoming confused and embittered when they get older as to why life isn’t perfect…like many liberals now…or you could call it the liberal god complex…i am superior to all, all must follow me, i can fix all, etc…aka lies…
